Top of the mornin’ to ya!
Coffee. “Honey Badger.” Still in my nightclothes. Neighborhood lawn day. Finally I have a day to continue working on my memoir proposal. From what I have read, it is considered a faux pas to refer to my manuscript as a “memoir” until it is actually published; however, I am choosing to use this terminology for those new visitors to my blog that are unaware of that on which I can currently working.
Since we live in a visual culture, bombarded and embalmed in the discourse of images, I have decided to share a photo of my “work space.” This is my balcony and my writing buddy, a seven year old German Shepard mix whose name hereafter will appear as “Honey Badger.” Yes, I am even skeptical about revealing the name of my prized pooch in an effort to ensure the safety and anonymity of my family and my location.
Visualize me writing here in this space. Please send positive vibes my way today while I in compile the proposal I will soon send off into the world to stand on its own feet (if this was poetry I could cleverly convert the use of “feet” into a pun, or play of words, on “metrical feet”). I will send this proposal to literary agents and publishers, alike, as soon as I complete it with flawless precision.
